A fundraising campaign designed around one simple truth: every ending is also someone’s beginning.

Every Last Leads to a First

Parents approaching graduation often focus on everything that’s ending. Last football game. Last roommate. Last walk across campus.

Rather than asking for a donation outright, this campaign from Davidson College reframed those moments. Every “last” became the beginning of a student’s next chapter.

The brochure became part of the story. As it unfolded, so did the perspective—from honoring what had been to investing in what comes next.

Reframing the Ask

Every fold had a purpose. The sequence moved from reflection to possibility, using scale, photography, and pacing to transform a fundraising brochure into a narrative experience. As parents opened each panel, the campaign’s message unfolded alongside it.

The best way to honor where someone has been is to invest in where they’re going.
